The composition of this unique piece consists of 60% of the best pure Chinese silk, with 40% handspun afghan wool and handspun Himalayan allo fibers
The colors in this piece are natural stone beige, sea blue, seafoam green, cream, and taupe all in varying depths, and lighter and deeper shades. All the three fibers are interwoven together which gives varied interest and texture
The stonewashing has been a decades long process developed by us at our restoration plant in Oushak Turkey. This stonewashed process gives a subtle sheen to the silk yet gives the appearance and texture and feel of an antique rug. It has been finished by hand washing and blocking
