This vintage Herki runner is handmade using pure angora wool with a little white cotton.
This is an impressive piece as when the weaver found Orlon and its bright bold colors the wealthier families bought enough to make a few bespoke rugs. This would eventually add to the dowry of the woman who wove it. Normally the colors in runners indicative to this region are variations of pinks and reds.
This low pile vintage runner has a color palette with a beige background where the richness intensifies gradually from one end to the other and bright colors of the rainbow (except way brighter) and pure white cotton details.
