the composition of such a unique piece consists of 60% of the best pure Chinese silk, with 40% undyed handspun afghan wool and handspun natural aloe from the Katmandu valley. the abstract design has been sketched by our creative director, Bianca
The colors in this piece are natural tweeded light gray and steel, in varying depths, and taupe stone with all the three fibers interwoven together which gives varied interest
The stonewashing has been a decades long process developed by us at our restoration plant in Oushak Turkey.
This stonewashed process gives a subtle sheen to the silk yet gives the appearance and texture and feel of an antique rug.
