This flatweave kilim from Black Sea region of Turkey is made with pure organic hemp.
This is a collage of several pieces stitched together with wide stitching and backed in a heavy duty canvas in dark slate gray.
The colors in this piece are creamy off white with some variations in the color. It has a colored symbols in a few places. These were done originally to distinguish between each other’s grain sacks. There are several hand-sewn patches. It’s a very interesting piece.

It has been professionally washed, blocked, starched and restored.
