This flatweave kilim from Black Sea region of Turkey is made with pure organic hemp.
The colors in this 5 piece flatweave are creamy tonal off white with variations in the hemp and faint lines in pale taupe and light blue and pink. There are a few cicim symbols which invoked special meaning to the weaver.
Pure hemp is cool and soft to the touch and Circa 1970’s
Actual size is: 10’ x 11’10”
It has been professionally washed, blocked, starched and restored.
Condition: immaculately clean; ends and sides bound securely.
*Fold marks will decrease when laid flat.

*Part of the beauty of these pieces is in their authenticity. They are not perfect in their shape or edges. They often have patches done by the weavers which we leave as it adds to the story of the rug.
